Just one great reason to live in the southeast valley includes our airport! Mesa’s Williams Gateway – this East Valley hub is so popular that the SkyValue USA airline is adding a third weekly round trip and extending its service to Gary, Indiana beyond April. In fact, it is so hot that the airline is considering expanding its service into Southern California. The East Valley Tribune reports that SkyValue is negotiating with smaller Los Angeles-area airports such as those in Burbank and Ontario to land continuation legs of the flights from Gary to Williams Gateway Airport. This would provide East Valley passengers the ability to book round trips to the California destination at lower rates hopefully by sometime in February.  Meanwhile, the company plans to launch in late January a Wednesday round-trip flight to add to the Monday and Friday runs between Gary and Mesa.

I can barely wait until flights to California start up. What a great idea to fly into Burbank or Ontario or one of the smaller airports. That's where so many Arizonans go for visits.....don't want to live there again - if you think the traffic HERE is bad - just try driving around in Los Angeles county for a day.

My prediction was right! As soon as the holidays ended, the phone started ringing. People are now listing their homes. I always recommend listing during the holidays 'cause there is less competition, but many don't want to bother with the visitor traffic. We are - as of this morning - at 42,466 active listings - up about 1500 since January 2. This should settle back down, but if you always remember: have your home in pristeen condition - immaculate - and ready to go AND price it right, it'll see.  It is now estimated that we have an AVERAGE days on market of three months.......
